Sun Fung as a noodle manufacturer, require a lot of spices and herbs in our seasoning mix. Over
the years, we have encountered a series of problems which our spices supplies, namely :
     
  Low microbial count achieved with irradiation.
  Non-irradiated but with high microbial count.
  Non-irradiated, acceptable microbial count but with poor sensory qualities due to extreme processing method steam sterilization.
     
Together with the recent outbreaks of illegal colourings added to spices like turmeric, curry, chilli powder, we feel that the only approach to preserve the intergrity of our products is to produce the ground spices ourselves. At first, this was exclusively produced to fulfill our noodle production demand. Later, we discovered that other food manufacturers have the same requirements as ours and we started to supply our spices to them.
 

At Sun Fung, we guarantee that our ground spices / herbs are :

1) Low in bacterial count.
2) Free from irradiation.
3) Free from any colouring.
   

With the facilities of our in-house laboratory, we include, with every shipment, a report of the microbial counts and irradiation status. We also conduct agricultural chemical analysis on our raw materials to ensure that they are within regulatory standards before production.

In addition, with our seasoning blenders at our noodle production site, we can also mix spices / herbs blend like pizza herbs, curry powder, five spices, etc. according to our customer's needs.
